A 32-year-old male suspect has been arrested for allegedly attempting to videotape a woman in an Oshawa McDonald’s restroom.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Durham Regional Police said the suspect has been charged in connection with the incident, which happened around noon on Nov. 11.
Police previously said a 50-year-old woman was in the restroom when she noticed a cellphone being pointed up at her from the adjacent stall. The McDonald’s restaurant is in the Oshawa Centre, located in the Stevenson Road North and King Street West area.
Police say the woman exited the stall to confront the suspect after noticing the phone, but he had already fled.
Robert Moore of Oshawa has been charged with voyeurism.
