Several downtown roads will be closed as festival season nears its end this weekend.

Buskerfest, which began Thursday night, means Yonge Street is closed between Richmond and College Streets until Sunday, Aug. 30 at 11:59 p.m. Parts of Dundas Square, Walton, Gould, Edward and Elm Streets are also closed.

On Saturday and Sunday, Morningside Avenue is closed between Finch Avenue East and Neilson Road for the Toronto Tamil Festival.

For those in East York, the City of Toronto reminds drivers that the intersection of Don Mills Road and O'Connor Drive is fully closed from Friday at 7 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m. for repaving. During the closure, the Don Valley Parkway ramps to southbound Don Mills Road are closed. Pedestrian access will be maintained through the weekend.

Another complication is that TTC subway trains on Line 1 (University) are turning back southbound at St. Clair West Station. The closure is due to track replacement, maintenance and signal upgrades.
