Police have released security camera images of a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl at a residential building in North York last week.

Police say a 14-year-old girl walked into an apartment building near Graydon Hall Drive and Don Mills Road at around 7:12 p.m. on July 24 when a man followed her inside.

The girl told police that the man indicated he did not have his keys.

Once inside, police say the man initiated a conversation of a sexual natural with the girl before following her into an elevator. Police allege the girl was sexually assaulted in the elevator.

The girl told police that she got out of the elevator shortly after, leaving the man inside.

She later reported the incident to police.

In an effort to identify a suspect, police have released security camera images of a man.

The suspect is described as an Asian male with a tanned complexion who is in his mid-40s, approximately five-foot-nine and 200 pounds. Police say he has a stocky build with short, straight dark brown hair, brown eyes and was slightly unshaven at the time of the incident.

He was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt with a large red logo on the front, black pants, a black baseball cap with a red logo and gloves.
