A second alleged victim has come forward in the sexual assault case of two Ontario doctors -- and police say there could be even more.

Ancaster resident Amitabh Chauhan and Markham resident Suganthan Kayilasanathan have been accused of gang sexual assault and administering a noxious substance after a woman told police two men drugged and raped her in a Toronto hotel on Feb. 13.

On Sunday, Toronto Police Const. Tony Vella told the media a second complainant had come forward, this time with allegations against only one of the accused. She is not from Toronto and was prompted to call police after hearing of the arrest.

Vella said police are asking any other potential victims to come forward.

Chauhan had a valid Saskatchewan driver's licence in his wallet when he was arrested, leading police to believe he could have lived there for some time.

Det. Dan Luff says police are investigating in Panama as well after both men recently returned from a trip to the Central American country. He couldn't say whether the 32-year-old doctors normally travel together.

Kayilasanathan works as a family physician at a clinic on Markham Road, while Chauhan works in the plastic surgery department at Hamilton's McMaster University.

They appeared in court on Saturday for a bail hearing and remain in custody. They are due back in court on Wednesday.

Their lawyers have said they will plead not guilty.
