Police have arrested a second man wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing in Pickering last summer.

The incident occurred on July 2 at a home in the area of Glenanna Road near Huntsmill Drive.

Dionecio “Deshane” Nelson, 20, was leaving a party when he became involved in a physical altercation with two men in a vehicle. At some point during that altercation, police say Nelson was stabbed.

Following the homicide police released a description of the suspects and the vehicle they reportedly fled the scene in, however months went by without any arrests.

That is until this week.

On Tuesday, police arrested 20-year-old Nathaniel Findley and charged him with second degree murder in connection with the stabbing.

Then on Friday evening police arrested 20-year-old Alexcander “Poppie” Mitchell and charged him with second degree murder as well as two counts of assault with a weapon.

Police say their investigation into the fatal stabbing is continuing.
