A second man faces charges in the murder of a man who died of stab wounds and was found in a ditch off Highway 401.

The body of Nirosan Thillainathan, 22, of Toronto, was found in a ditch near Highway 401 and McCowan Road on Sunday, July 22.

Hussain Saeed, 20, was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree murder.

The Toronto man appeared in court Friday morning.

Previously, Zishan Malik, 20, of Toronto, was charged with second-degree murder on July 22.

Police are still asking anyone with information about the events that took place on the night of July 22 to come forward.

Specifically, police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the following events:

  • a confrontation, just after midnight, at the Shell gas station at 1670 McCowan Rd.
  • a confrontation, at approximately 1:45 a.m. at 1703 McCowan Rd.
  • a confrontation, at approximately 1:50 a.m., southbound on McCowan Rd., from 1703 McCowan Rd., ending at Highway 401
