Police are searching for a man accused of attacking and sexually assaulting a woman in the city’s St. Lawrence neighbourhood.
A 22-year-old woman told police that she was working inside a building near Front Street East and Jarvis Street at around 2 a.m. Tuesday when a man tried to enter.
When the woman told the man that the building was closed for the day, police say he attacked and sexually assaulted her.
The woman was reportedly able to fight the suspect off. He fled the building and headed in an unknown direction.
Investigators describe the suspects as a white man who is approximately 30 years old, standing about five-foot-six in height with a thin build and brown curly hair. He was last seen wearing a beige sweater, a white shirt, blue pants and dark shoes.
On Wednesday, police released two images taken from security camera footage of a suspect.
Anyone with information about the investigation is being asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
