Search continues for missing aircraft near Toronto

HASTINGS, Ont. - A search will resume this morning for an aircraft that went missing on Monday during a flight from Quebec to Buttonville Airport near Toronto.
The four-seater airplane, operated by a 61-year-old Quebec man, was last known to being in the Hastings, Ont., area, east of Peterborough.
A Griffon Chopper and a Hercules aircraft from CFB Trenton searched the area during the night but were unable to spot the plane.
Provincial police Constable Phil Clarke says a large scale search will be launched this morning involving aircraft from Trenton and one from Winnipeg.
Police and coast guard vessels will also be deployed in the area of Rice Lake.
The plane had left St-Mathieu De Beloeil, Que., on Monday night and was supposed to arrive at the Buttonville Airport in Markham, Ont., north of Toronto, at 11 p.m.
