Buskerfest and the Festival of South Asia will close streets over the weekend, and construction continues on Lake Shore Boulevard.

Events closures

Buskerfest means that Yonge Street will be closed from Richmond Street to College and Carlton Streets from Thursday, Aug. 21 at 9:30 a.m. to Sunday, Aug. 24 at 11:59 p.m. Gerrard Street will still be open to traffic. Gould Street will be closed from Yonge Street to Bond Street from Friday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, Aug. 24 at 11:59 p.m.

Gerrard Street East will be closed from Glenside to Coxwell Avenues for the Festival of South Asia, from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Lake Shore Boulevard closures

The westbound passing lane will be occupied from Rees Street to Van De Water Crescent by tunnel construction from 9 a.m. to midnight every day until the end of February 2015.

Until Sunday, Aug. 31, one lane eastbound and one lane westbound will be occupied due to TTC Leslie Street Connection Track Project, 24 hours a day.

From Park Lawn Road to Humber River, westbound lanes will be occupied due to construction until the end of the month.

The westbound passing lane will be occupied by construction crews due to Gardiner repairs from Lower Jarvis to York Streets.

Gardiner Expressway closures

The eastbound and westbound left shoulder and right shoulder lanes will be occupied by long-term construction from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, between Park Lawn Road and Humber River until Aug. 29.

TTC closures and diversions

Train service on the Yonge-University-Spadina line will end early on Friday and Sunday between Eglinton and Finch, but shuttle buses will be available until the usual end of service. Last train and bus times can be found online.

There will be no train service between Eglinton Station and the Bloor-Yonge station on Saturday and Sunday. Shuttle buses will take passengers between Eglinton and Bloor, stopping at all stations in between.
