- Issues for commuters on Line 2 this morning as an external power outage closes Jane Station to trains and buses. Buses have been redirected to Runnymede Station.
- Voters in Ward 2 head to the polls in a byelection to fill the seat of late Etobicoke North city councillor Rob Ford.
- One person has been charged with impaired driving following a six-vehicle collision early this morning on Eglinton Avenue near the Don Valley Parkway.

WEATHER WATCH:
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to end this morning, followed by a mix of sun and cloud and a gusty northwest wind of 20-40 km/h. A high of 32 degrees is expected, feeling like 37 with humidity.
TRAFFIC WOES:
- Beginning today, the intersection of College and Lansdowne will be closed for two weeks due to TTC track replacement and sidewalk repairs.
- Westbound curb and passing lanes on Front Street West at Blue Jays Way will be occupied with sidewalk, curb and road repairs today.
AROUND TOWN:
- Match play begins at the men’s Rogers Cup tennis tournament, running through July 31st at the Aviva Centre.
- Discount airline NewLeaf Travel’s inaugural flight departs from Hamilton,ON this morning.
