Police are warning the public of a suspicious incident after a male suspect was spotted in an Etobicoke backyard, peering into a home’s bedroom windows.
In statement released on Monday, police say the incident happened last Thursday at approximately 10:30 p.m.
Police say a male suspect entered a backyard in the Dixon and Martin Grove Roads area. He then propped a ladder belonging to the homeowner against the house and climbed it to look into the bedroom windows.
Police say he fled the scene before officers arrived.
Residents are being reminded to lock their windows and doors, and lock up their ladders and tools when they are not in use.
Police say the suspect is described as white, has dark, short hair and a medium build. He was last seen unshaven.
