A high-end Toronto grocery store that sustained heavy damage after a three-alarm fire over the weekend will reopen "as soon as possible," the president of Pusateri's Fine Foods said.

On Saturday, firefighters responded to a blaze at the store's flagship North York location, located on Avenue Road near Lawrence Avenue. At the height of the fire, as many as 70 firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.

No one was injured and the Ontario Fire Marshal's office is investigating.

In a written statement issued Monday, Pusateri's president Frank Luchetta thanked emergency responders for their efforts.

"Words cannot express our gratitude for the valiant efforts of the City of Toronto firefighters, paramedics, police department and the (Ontario Fire Marshal) in response to Saturday’s fire," he said.

"We are wholeheartedly thankful for their dedication and bravery."

Luchetta adds that the North York store will re-open in the near future.

"While we await assessment of damages, we can assure our valued clients and the community that Pusateri's Avenue Road will indeed be rebuilt and reopened as soon as possible."

Pusateri's has two other locations in Yorkville and Bayview Village.
