QUINTE WEST, Ont. - Just days before Remembrance Day, police say they are looking for two thieves who made off with a poppy donation box from a southern Ontario business.

Provincial police say they are looking for a man and a woman after the box was reported stolen from a business in Quinte West.

The same two suspects are also believed to be involved in the theft of a second poppy donation box at another business in the city west of Belleville.

It's not known exactly how much cash was in the boxes, which are the property of the Royal Canadian Legion.

The suspects are described as a white male with a medium build and short brown hair, wearing jeans and a red jacket, and a white female with bleach blonde hair in her late 40s, wearing a blue and black jacket, jeans and high heels.

Anyone with information is asked to immediately contact provincial police or Crime Stoppers.
