Police are again asking for the public's help in their hunt for the "Two Face Bandit" after cash from a bank robbery turned up at a car wash.

A man entered a Scotiabank on Steeles Avenue near Kennedy Road on Oct. 7, with his faced covered by a Halloween mask and a gun in his hand. Police say he demanded tellers fill his duffle bag with money.

When employees took too long, the man fired a shot into the ceiling. Nobody was injured and the suspect fled in a green Nissan.

Police say they have identified a person of interest in the case. On Oct. 11 the man visited a car wash in the Warden Avenue and Danforth Road area. He used a coin dispenser machine to deposit marked bank bills from the bank robbery.

His description matched the suspect's, police say.

The suspect is described as white, between 5'5" and 5'9", with slender build and was last seen wearing a Halloween mask, large black-framed-glasses, a black coat and pants.

"We are hoping… that a member of the public will identify this person of interest and contact crime stoppers or the Hold Up squad with the name of this individual to point us in the right direction to help solve this robbery," Staff Insp. Mike Earl said at a press conference Friday.
