PORT BURWELL, Ont. -- Provincial police say they are continuing to search for a missing 15-year-old boy who disappeared while swimming in Lake Erie.
The boy was reported missing Sunday off Port Burwell in southern Ontario.
Police say a group of young people were swimming out by a pier on the main beach when they came to a deeper section of water and began having difficulty.
One of the swimmers began to struggle and went under water and police say when the group got back to shore, it was discovered that the teen -- from nearby Malahide Township -- was missing.
A search was conducted but was called off later Sunday night due to weather and water conditions.
Police say the underwater search and recovery unit will be helping with Monday's search.
