Police say they believe someone has gone on a bank robbery spree in midtown Toronto in the last few weeks.

According to police, the same person robbed four banks between Nov. 21 and Dec. 1, all of which were located on Yonge Street between Davisville Avenue and Lawrence Avenue West.

In each of the robberies, the man walked into a branch and waited in line before passing a hold-up note to a teller demanding a specific amount of cash.

The note reportedly said the man was armed with a gun.

Each of the four robberies happened at around 12:30 p.m. In one of the cases, police believe the man fled the scene by subway.

Police have described a suspect in the case as a man in his early 20s who stands between five-foot-ten to six-feet tall.

Investigators have released a series of security camera images of a suspect in connection with a case.
