A man has been arrested in connection with a human trafficking investigation, and police believe there may be more victims.

In a statement released Tuesday, Toronto police said a 19-year-old was recruited and forced into the sex trade three years ago. The man who forced her to work in the trade violently assaulted her and kept all of her earnings over the three-year period.

Police said Andre Stubbs, 33, of Toronto was arrested on Monday. Stubbs is facing 11 charges related to the case.

Investigators said they believe there may be more victims.

Officers said Stubbs is also facing seven charges relating to a firearms investigation. When he was arrested on Monday, a loaded firearm was found in a hidden compartment in his vehicle.
