TORONTO -- Toronto police have identified a man who was found fatally shot in an apartment building stairwell in the city's north end.

Jules Jashawn Morrison, 21, of Toronto was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds by officers called to the scene (in the area of Finch Avenue and Keele Street) on Wednesday.

Police say Morrison was unresponsive when he was found in the seventh floor stairwell, and that lifesaving efforts failed to revive him and he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses reported seeing two men fleeing the scene and police say the men are believed to be directly involved in the shooting.

The first suspect is described as having a medium build and wearing a light-coloured, long-sleeve hoodie, a dark vest and dark pants, while the second is described as having a medium build and wearing a dark coat, a green hoodie and dark pants.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the two men.
