York Regional Police have released surveillance footage of a vehicle of interest in connection with a hit-and-run that left a 35-year-old man dead in Vaughan.

The collision happened at around 11:25 p.m. on Aug. 8 outside a motel on Highway 7, near Keele Street.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene, where they found the victim severely injured. He was declared dead at the scene.

The victim has since been identified as Adam Colucci of Woodbridge. Police said that Colucci was staying at the motel at the time.

Police said Thursday that they are looking to speak with the driver of the vehicle pictured in the footage, a dark-coloured pickup truck. They are also appealing to anyone who has information about the whereabouts of the vehicle or its driver to contact police.

This is the third vehicle of interest that police have described in the case. On Aug. 18, police released surveillance footage of a white pickup truck and a white cargo van and said they were looking to speak with the drivers of those vehicles.

Police are still urging the driver of the vehicle that struck Colucci to contact a lawyer and surrender to police.

Anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact the Major Collision Investigation Unit by calling 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7704, or to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
