Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a 31-year-old man inside a Mississauga parking garage last week.
Nam Huu Pham was found dead inside the garage near Grand Park Drive and Burnhamthorpe Road at around 1:15 p.m. on Sept. 28.
Police have previously said that Pham was meeting with another man inside the garage when the culprit assaulted him with an “edged weapon” and then fled in a motor vehicle.
Pham then collapsed a short distance away, where he was discovered by a citizen.
On Monday afternoon members of the Peel Regional Police tactical unit arrested a suspect near The Queensway and Hurontario Street.
Video of the takedown obtained by CP24 shows officers surrounding a white SUV with their guns drawn.
David Baichoo, 26, is charged with first-degree murder. Baichoo will appear in a Brampton court on Nov. 4 for a bail hearing.
Police say they are continuing to investigate the homicide and are looking to speak to anyone who has information about what may have transpired.
