Toronto police have released photographs of a suspect sought following an early-morning home invasion and sexual assault in Cabbagetown over the weekend.

Police say that the victim was robbed and sexually assaulted after a man, armed with a weapon, forced his way into a residence in the Wellesley and Parliament streets area shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday.

The suspect is described by police as white with a tanned complexion, 18 to 27 years old, five-foot-seven to six feet tall, 140 to 150 pounds, with short black hair and a beard.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt under a blue sweater with horizontal stripes, dark pants and black shoes.
