A stretch of Danforth Avenue is closed after police say a vehicle hit a pedestrian on Saturday afternoon.

Toronto police spokesperson Cst. Craig Brister said a man was walking around Danforth and Broadview Avenues when he was struck.

The call came in at 12:20 p.m., Brister said. When officers arrived on scene, they found the man breathing and conscious. He was then taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver remained on the scene. Westbound lanes on Danforth Avenue are closed from Playter Boulevard to Broadview Avenue.
