Toronto police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Scarborough on Tuesday.

Police say the man may have been hit by as many as two vehicles on Midland Avenue just north of Finch shortly before 5:30 p.m.

Investigators say charges of failing to remain at the scene of the accident may be laid.

The accident came less than a week after a Toronto elementary school teacher was struck and killed in a hit-and-run while cycling in the Lansdowne Avenue and Davenport Road area on Friday
