Police say a pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle in Scarborough.
The man, who police say is in his 40s, was struck late Friday evening near Eglinton Avenue and Brimley Road.
Authorities say he did not have vital signs when emergency crews arrived on scene just after 10 p.m.
The man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, Toronto police Const. Wes Kudrenski told CTVToronto.ca.
Police shut down Eglinton Avenue as they investigated the cause of the collision.
Const. Kudrenski said no charges have been laid. The investigation is ongoing.
