TORONTO - Toronto police have charged an Ottawa man after it's alleged an 18-year-old woman was forced to work in the sex trade in both cities.
Police say the woman was forced into working as an exotic dancer and as a prostitute over a two-week period.
They allege she travelled between Toronto and Ottawa to work in the sex trade, turning her earnings over to a suspect.
A man was arrested on Sunday in the case.
Twenty-year-old Ashor Anwia is facing six counts including trafficking in persons by recruiting, procuring a person to become a prostitute and forcible confinement.
Police say they are concerned there may be more alleged victims.
