An Oshawa man is facing 13 drug-related charges following a drug bust in an Oshawa home last Friday.

Durham Regional Police seized 35 litres of gramma-Hydroxybutyric acid, 313 grams of marijuana, 143 grams of methamphetamine, six ecstasy tablets, 90 grams of MDMA, six hydro morphine tablets, 42 Xanax tablets and 36 grams of ketamine.

According to police, the estimated street value of these substances is around $95,000.

Police also seized chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine, including muriatic acid, sulfuric acid and acetic acid, which police say are “dangerously volatile and would pose a risk to homes in the area.”

According to police, investigators were assisted by the RCMP in removing all of the dangerous substances from the home.

Richard Alexandre, 51, of Oshawa, is charged with:

• Production of methamphetamine

• Possession of a substance for purpose of production

• 11 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking

He is currently being held for a bail hearing.
