PICKERING, Ont. - A 24-year-old Oshawa man faces multiple charges after a month-long investigation into the theft of Apple iPads from retail stores in two communities east of Toronto.

Police say a lone suspect entered the Target store at the Pickering Town Centre early last month through an insecure loading door and fled with a quantity of Apple iPads.

Three days later they say a suspect was captured on video surveillance stealing iPads from another Target Store (on Highway 2) in Bowmanville.

Police say a suspect was arrested Sunday while driving in the Whitby area.

The man is charged with break and enter and theft under $5,000.

He's also charged with mischief under $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, driving while suspended and other driving offences.
