Toronto - OPSEU members will use their lunch hour today to stage information pickets about ServiceOntario offices across the province.

The Ontario Public Sector Employees Union says it is concerned that privatization will severely reduce access to front line services.

The union says Finance Minister Dwight Duncan announced on Feb. 13 that ServiceOntario will have more private sector involvement.

OPSEU says this partial privatization will "jeopardize the security of Ontarians' personal information."

Information pickets will be set up outside ServiceOntario offices in 25 communities and OPSEU says further pickets are planned in the weeks ahead.

An information picket will also be set up in Kingston outside the office of Liberal MPP John Gerretsen.
