One person was stabbed and two others were injured after a confrontation broke out between two groups of people “partying in rooms” at a high-end hotel in downtown Toronto, police say.

The stabbing happened Friday night at the Cosmopolitan Hotel on Colborne Street, near Yonge Street and King Street, after someone from one room went to another to have a drink, police say.

Three people were sent to St. Michael’s Hospital, including the stabbing victim, who had two puncture wounds, police say. None had life-threating injuries.

Police say the suspects in the incidents fled the scene.
