A 19-year-old Richmond Hill man is dead after his car was involved in a T-bone collision Saturday afternoon.

The two-vehicle collision happened at the intersection of York/Durham Line and Sandford Road in Uxbridge, Ont., at about 1:20 p.m. Durham Regional Police said an eastbound-travelling Toyota Echo went through a stop sign and collided with a southbound-travelling Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The driver of the Toyota was rushed to hospital, where he died of his injuries. The 19-year-old man has not been identified.

Police said the driver of the Jeep, a 56-year-old female, suffered minor injuries and is expected to be released from hospital on Sunday.

Police are investigating the crash. They say the road and weather conditions were favourable at the time of the collision.
