A 25-year-old Oakville man was killed in a snowmobile accident near Huntsville, Ont. Sunday.
Huntsville OPP said it appears that David Stott's snowmobile struck a rock cut, throwing him from the sled.
Stott was reported missing early Sunday morning by Matthew Deleonardis of Bolton, Ont., another snowmobiler who was injured and had to be taken to Huntsville District Memorial Hospital.
Police eventually found Stott not far from Bigwin Island in the Lake of Bays just after 7 a.m. He suffered severe injuries and died.
Police continue to investigate the accident but say it appears that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
