WHITBY, Ont. -- Durham regional police say a body found in Whitby during the weekend hasn't been positively identified as that of a teacher who went missing in January.

Investigators say they believe the body, found Saturday afternoon by a citizen out for a walk along the shore of Lake Ontario, is that of 52-year-old Jeffrey Boucher.

Police say an autopsy conducted on Monday confirmed there were no signs of trauma, adding they don't suspect foul play.

The actual cause of death has yet to be determined and police say further tests are planned.

Boucher went missing Jan. 13 after it's believed he left his Whitby home that morning to go jogging.

Extensive search efforts failed to locate him, but one of his shoes was found earlier this month and the other shoe was found Saturday, shortly before the body was discovered.
