Ontario Provincial Police were forced to shut down a portion of Highway 401 in Mississauga after a mishap involving a dump truck early Friday morning.
The dump truck was travelling in the westbound lanes with its box raised, and the box struck an overpass at 2nd Line, west of Mavis Road.
The box was torn off the truck and became lodged between the bridge and the highway.
It took a few hours for crews to remove the detached box and clear debris off the road.
Police are investigating.
