Hydro crews are working to restore power to thousands of customers, after the city got hit with snow and freezing rain.

Toronto Hydro said Wednesday morning that approximately 15,000 customers were still without power, with the Scarborough and Etobicoke areas the hardest hit.

Also on Wednesday morning, the TTC announced that service had been suspended from Warden Station to Kennedy Station due to power issues. It later announced that service was also suspended on the Scarborough RT due to signal issues at Kennedy Station. Shuttle buses are running along the lines instead.

Meanwhile, Pearson International Airport is warning travellers to check their flight status for any delays or cancellations as a result of the winter weather.

The messy mix of precipitation left about 87,000 people across the city without power Tuesday night, after a Hydro One transmission line went down at about 8 p.m. Crews worked through the night, restoring power to the different regions.
