A stretch of the Bloor-Danforth subway line will be closed to commuters overnight Wednesday, beginning at 10 p.m.

There will be no subway service between Keele and Ossington stations as crews work to fix a damaged portion of a tunnel at Dundas West Station.

TTC shuttle buses will operate between the stations during the closure.

According to TTC officials, full subway service is to resume by 6 a.m. on Thursday.

Subway service was disrupted for approximately seven hours on Tuesday following a buildup of mud, water and other debris on the tracks at Dundas West.

The flooding occurred after a contractor accidentally punctured a hole in the subway tunnel. Provincial transportation agency Metrolinx is investigating the incident.
