Environment Canada has ended the special weather statement for Toronto that called for isolated thunderstorms.
The weather advisory was lifted shortly before 5:30 p.m.
Earlier on Tuesday, the national weather agency said showers and thunderstorms were expected to dump between 30 to 40 millimetres of rain on the city.
Toronto's Flood Management Service also warned that some roadways could be flooded as a result of the weather system.
