Sections of Queen Street and Coxwell Avenue have reopened following an early morning garbage truck crash in the area.

The garbage truck crashed into a utility pole on Queen Street at approximately 4:20 a.m. on Friday. It is not yet known what caused the crash, but truck pulled overhead wires down in the process.

As a result, Queen Street East was closed in both directions between Coxwell and Rhodes Avenue. Coxwell was also closed between Dundas Street East and Eastern Avenue.

The roads reopened shortly after 10 a.m., nearly six hours after the crash.
