Police have released security camera images that show two suspects wanted in connection with a purse-snatching robbery in downtown Toronto.

The mugging happened Sunday afternoon on Cameron Street, in the Spadina Avenue and Dundas Street West area. Police say a woman was approached by a man at approximately 3:30 p.m. He grabbed her purse and ran east, toward Spadina Avenue.

Police previously described the suspect as white and wearing a hoodie. In a statement released Tuesday morning, police say they are now searching for two suspects in connection with the daytime robbery.

The first suspect was last seen wearing yellow pants, a dark hoodie with light-coloured sleeves, or a light-coloured sweatshirt paired with a dark vest. The second suspect was last seen wearing dark glasses, and a grey hoodie with a white band on the hood and light-coloured sleeves, or a grey hoodie of the same description with a light vest. He was also wearing dark pants and white shoes.

The security camera images were released Tuesday as police are investigating a string of other purse-snatching robberies in the same area.

In each of the muggings, police say a man approached a woman and grabbed her purse, before fleeing the area.

The last reported mugging happened Monday evening on Cameron Street, when police say a 51-year-old woman was approached by a man shortly before 7:30 p.m. He threw her to the ground and grabbed her purse. Police say he was last seen running west, towards Vanauley Walk.

He is described as black and was last seen wearing a black jacket and pants. He is believed to be in his 20s and has light skin.

Police say there were three other robberies that happened on Saturday. They are all believed to be committed by the same male suspect. He is described as white and wearing a hoodie.

In the first incident, police say a woman was walking on Cameron Street, near Queen Street and Spadina Avenue, at approximately 1 p.m. on Saturday, when a man approached her and grabbed her purse. He was seen running toward Spadina.

Approximately two hours later, another woman was walking on Cameron when a man approached her from behind, grabbed her purse and ran off.

At 8 p.m., a woman was walking nearby, on Vanauley Street, when a man approached her from behind and grabbed her purse.
