On Sunday, Aug. 31, police were called to the Beth Joseph Lubavitch Chabad Synagogue at 44 Edinburgh Dr., in the area of Bathurst Street and Highway 401.

The caller reported that a man approached the main doors of the synagogue with his white poodle-type dog. He rubbed dog feces on the door, then left with the dog, police said.

The man has been described as white, and of average height and build. On the night of the incident, he was wearing dark pants and a dark shirt with a black baseball cap.
