Toronto police have determined that the death of the teen who was fatally struck by a GO Train Monday evening was accidental.

Police say the 17-year-old was hanging out with four of his friends under the Dundas Street West bridge, near Sorauren Avenue, when the accident happened at approximately 7 p.m.

Investigators say the teen was trying to get out of the way of the oncoming train but stumbled onto the tracks and was stuck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not identified the boy, but a source told CP24 his name was Tyler Bailey.
