Toronto police have released video surveillance images of two men wanted in connection with the theft of three valuable paintings from the University of Toronto earlier this year.

The paintings were cut and removed from their original frames at various buildings on the U of T campus between Jan. 30 and Feb. 10.

Police are searching for two male suspects. The first suspect is described as a white male, between 45 and 50 years old, with grey hair. He was last seen wearing grey pants, a grey three-quarter length coat and a snap-back hat.

The second suspect is said to be a white male, between 27 and 35 years old, with short, black hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie.

The paintings that were stolen include:

  • "Credit River" by Yee Bon;
  • "Church of Santa Maria Della Salute" by Francesco Guardi; and
  • "Morning at Peggy's Cove" by William E. DeGarthe.
