York Regional Police are asking for the public's help to identify a woman found in Vaughan last week.

On the evening of Monday, Sept. 8, police found a woman wandering by herself near a plaza in the area of Highway 400 and Rutherford Road.

She appeared confused and officers were concerned that she was unable to care for herself. She was transported to hospital, where she has remained since last week.

Investigators and hospital staff have been unable to identify her, and are asking the public for leads.

The woman is described as 5-foot-2 and 110 pounds, with a thin build, black curly hair and brown eyes. She speaks English, and is 18 to 22 years old.
