A 50-year-old man has been charged with impersonating a police officer after he allegedly used a fake cruiser to pull over several drivers in London, Ont.
Police say the man was spotted driving a silver 2007 Dodge Charger with police markings and flashing lights on Thursday evening.
Officers waited until the fake cruiser pulled another vehicle over before making their arrest, police said.
Terry Mertick has been charged with false representation of a police officer. He also faces one count of possessing a prohibited weapon, after officers allegedly found a switchblade knife in the fake cruiser.
Mertick is due to appear in court on March 12.
