A Toronto man was charged with second-degree murder on Tuesday in connection to a fatal fight in Toronto's east end earlier this month.
Toronto police were called to a fight at 780 Coxwell Ave., just north of Danforth Avenue, on April 6, where they found a man suffering trauma to the body.
The man was taken to hospital, where he remained until succumbing to his injuries on April 20. The victim has been identified as 56-year-old Scott Land.
The death is Toronto's 20th homicide of 2011.
On Tuesday, police charged John Tahir, 56, with second degree murder.
He is scheduled to appear in a College Park court on Tuesday, May 3, 2011.
