Police say a 79-year-old man has been struck and killed by a streetcar on St. Clair Avenue West and Deer Park Crescent around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to Toronto EMS, the pedestrian was initially reported to be without vital signs at the scene.
He was transported to St. Michael's Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say roads in the area will be closed for several hours.
