Police are investigating after three people were wounded in a shooting in the Malvern neighbourhood of Toronto overnight.

Officers said the incident occurred at a housing complex located at 311 Washburn Way, in the area of Sheppard Avenue and Markham Road, at approximately 2 a.m. on Friday.

The exact circumstances are unclear, but police said two male victims brought themselves to a nearby hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds.

A third male injured in the shooting was treated by paramedics at the scene for a minor gunshot wound.

Toronto Police Const. Victor Kwong told reporters that witnesses reported seeing a dark vehicle drive by as shots were fired from someone inside.

Police are searching for two male suspects, both described as being in their early 20s and wearing dark clothing.
