Two men in their 20s have been charged in connection with a fatal shooting at a downtown Toronto restaurant that occurred in November 2014.

The shooting occurred at the Garden Restaurant, located at 153 Dundas St. W., just west of Yonge Street, on Nov. 16, 2014. Police were called to the restaurant shortly before 4 a.m., when witnesses reported hearing the sound of gunshots.

When they arrived, they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Two women were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, while a man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as Tariq Mohammed, 31, of Mississauga.

Earlier this month, 30-year-old Abdirisak Yusuf Ibrahim was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and robbery in connection with the case. On Tuesday, Havard McKenzie surrendered to police and faced the same charges.

On Wednesday morning, police announced that two more men had been charged in connection to the case.

Clifton Vassel, 28, was charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous.

Derek Oppong, 22, was charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a firearm and two counts of aggravated assault.
