Two men have been taken into custody after a man in his 20s was shot in the leg early Tuesday evening.
It happened near Bloor and Sherbourne streets at around 6:30 p.m.
According to police, the two male suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, which officers pulled over near Yonge Street and Davenport Road a short time later.
One of the suspects was taken into custody on the spot, however the second suspect is alleged to have sped away in the vehicle before getting into an accident near Roxborough Street.
That suspect was arrested following a brief foot pursuit, police say.
The suspect is believed to have sustained a head injury in the accident and is in stable condition.
The Special Investigations Unit is investigating the events leading up to the crash.
