A man is recovering after being bitten in the groin by an American bulldog Tuesday in the Davenport and Avenue Road area.
Police said it appeared the man lost a testicle after the family pet attacked him in the evening. Police, paramedics and Toronto Animal Services were called in after the attack.
The dog has been placed in quarantine at an animal shelter and animal services are investigating the incident.
It was not clear why the dog attacked the man. Police say no charges have been laid so far.
