SARNIA, Ont - A man's body was found about 90 metres from shore in the St. Clair River this morning.

Provincial police from the Lambton detachment and Point Edward Fire and Rescue recovered the body south of the Bluewater Bridges around 9 a.m.

Const. Chrystal Jones says police have not made a positive identification yet.

But she says a post-mortem examination is expected to take place at London Health Sciences on Monday.

Police have been looking for Wilnelmus Bardoel of Ingersoll, who disappeared while scuba diving with two others in the river near the bridges a week ago.

Bardoel, 48, failed to surface while the other divers made it up safely.
